Seed for the Sower: Learning Lessons

A seed not righteously sown will surely die.
Nothing is impossible to him whose faith is like a mustard seed.
Sow in abundance and your harvest will be great.
He who supplies the seed will multiply your resources.
You can plant, you can water but only God gives the growth.
Like a seed, all great things start small.

Prayer

Thou dost sweep men away; they are like a dream, like grass which is renewed in the morning: in the morning it flourishes and is renewed; in the evening it fades and withers.

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.

Return, O LORD! How long? Have pity on thy servants!

Satisfy us in the morning with thy steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish thou the work of our hands upon us, yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

God's Promise

He will give rain for the seed with which you sow the ground, and grain, the produce of the ground, which will be rich and plenteous. In that day your cattle will graze in large pastures; and the oxen and the asses that till the ground will eat salted provender, which has been winnowed with shovel and fork (Isaiah 30:23-24).

You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be happy, and it shall be well with you. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table (Psalm 128:2-3).
